It appears that there is a serious interest within the Dutch creative industry to set up a ‘Material Exchange’, not only presenting today’s full range of end products, but also giving insight in raw materials and production techniques. The Limburg top sectors ‘Horticulture and propagation materials’, ‘Life sciences and health’ and ‘Chemicals” are also concerned with materials. The ‘Material Exchange’ could function as visitors’ center and showcase of the three campuses of this province.
The ‘Material Exchange’ should function as a connection expertise center, collecting knowledge and news about materials. Also, a material business network should be built, connecting firms with the knowledge and connections that the three campuses generate.
DDX is investigating the possibilities to set up a ‘Material Matters’ programme in order to develop the ‘Materia Exchange’center in the near future.
